The Lamar School District is committed to providing a safe learning environment for all students while adhering to the guidelines provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) concerning Covid-19 as much as practical and possible. Covid-19 is still spreading in our community; therefore, families should watch for symptoms of infectious disease (fever of 100 degrees or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.). Students should not attend school until they are symptom-free for 24 hours. Please see our handbook policy for more information on infectious disease or contact your child’s school.
If your child tests positive for Covid-19, please follow the current CDC guidelines which state as follows:
There are no requirement for close contacts to quarantine at this time. However, if someone in the home has tested positive, it is recommended that close contacts wear a mask for 10 days.
