Bus Route Update: The Pig bus will be delayed this morning and will begin its route at approximately 8:00am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Lamar School District will be in session tomorrow, January 14, 2025. Some bus routes may vary due to the conditions of county roads. Lamar transportation will be running snow routes for certain areas. These may be found on our website. Please stay safe, and thank you for your understanding.

Important Announcement for Lamar School District Families Due to the forecasted winter storm and potential hazards from freezing temperatures, Lamar Schools will be closed on Thursday, January 9 and Friday, January 10, 2025. Given the unpredictable timing of the storm and our commitment to the safety of our students and staff, we believe this is the best decision. Thank you for your understanding, and please stay safe.

Lamar School District Families, As we look ahead to the winter weather expected Thursday and Friday, we wanted to keep you informed about how we will handle any changes to the school schedule. While we know the weather can be unpredictable, we're ready to keep you updated! In the event of an early release or school closure, we will notify you through our automated messaging system, the district website, and our Facebook page. Please be aware that, depending on the timing of the weather, we may need to release school early on Thursday. We encourage you to plan ahead just in case! The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority, and we truly appreciate your understanding as we monitor the forecast. Stay safe and warm!

🎄 Sweet holiday memories in the making! Our K12 Culinary team had a wonderful time decorating Christmas cookies with the students from Lamar Elementary. Nothing brings more joy than seeing young faces light up while creating their own festive cookie masterpieces! Special thanks to our dedicated food service staff for sharing their decorating skills and bringing holiday cheer to our young students. These are the moments that make school lunch programs truly special.

Our 6th grade gifted and talented students had the opportunity to attend a Soft Skills Workshop at Guy-Fenter Education Cooperative, led by agents from the County Extension Office. Students participated in engaging lessons on: • Polished Conversations • Sending Thank You Letters • Customer Etiquette • Phone and Online Etiquette • Dinner Etiquette These essential life skills will help our students build confidence and make a positive impression in any setting. A big thank you to the County Extension Office for this valuable experience!
