Recently, students from grades 8 through 12 at Lamar High School had the unique opportunity to visit the Be Pro Be Proud mobile workshop, which was stationed on campus. The mobile workshop provides an interactive and engaging experience designed to introduce students to a variety of high-wage, high-demand careers in skilled trades. The Be Pro Be Proud initiative is dedicated to inspiring young people to consider careers in fields such as construction, manufacturing, and transportation, which are vital to Arkansas’ economy. By offering hands-on exposure to these professions, the program encourages students to explore career paths that promise both job stability and financial success. The event is part of a broader effort to bridge the gap between education and industry, helping students make informed decisions about their futures.
